Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts has officially announced the arrival of her first child.
In a heartfelt social media announcement, the 40-year-old singer revealed that her daughter had "arrived healthy and content a couple of weeks ago at 38 weeks" and is currently "thriving."
Images shared on her Instagram account depict the artist cradling her newborn, alongside pictures of her partner Mitch Hahn tenderly carrying the baby in a car seat.
Roberts expressed her joy by stating, "It's heaven on earth with her and we can hardly believe she's ours."
Numerous celebrities took to the comments section to extend their congratulations to Roberts and Hahn, including singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor, television presenters AJ Odudu and Katie Piper, as well as actress Michelle Keegan.
Bandmate Nadine Coyle joined in the well-wishing, sending "so much love" to the couple.
In 2024, members of Girls Aloud—including Cheryl, Coyle, Walsh, and Roberts—reunited for an arena tour across the UK and Ireland, marking their first tour in over 11 years. The tour was dedicated to their late bandmate Sarah Harding, who passed away from cancer in 2021 at the age of 39.
Girls Aloud formed through the television show Popstars: The Rivals in 2002, achieving significant success with five studio albums and winning a BRIT Award in 2009.
In addition to her work with the band, Roberts has pursued a solo music career and appeared in theatrical productions. Notably, she starred in the acclaimed West End musical Hadestown last year.
