Teddy Swims Brings Down the House With 'Mr. Know It All' at American Music Awards

Teddy Swims captivated the audience with a moving performance of his latest single, "Mr. Know It All," during the American Music Awards held on Sunday night.

Swims was introduced by fellow Georgian artist Mariah the Scientist, and he commenced his heartfelt rendition on a stage visually crafted to resemble a boarded-up house. Accompanied by musicians providing a vibrant backdrop with plucky guitar and hand drums, Swims' powerful vocals resonated as he conveyed the emotional weight of anticipating the end of a relationship.

Even though it has been over a year since the release of his last album, I've Tried Everything but Therapy (Part 2), in 2025, Swims continues to enjoy success with recent singles like "Gone Gone Gone," featuring David Guetta and Tones and I, which is nominated for Collaboration of the Year at this year's AMAs. Additionally, he contributed the track "You've Got Another Thing Coming" (distinct from the well-known Judas Priest song) to the soundtrack for the second season of the series Nobody Wants This.

Swims also made headlines at both weekends of Coachella in April, delivering engaging sets filled with hits and making surprise appearances alongside David Lee Roth, Joe Jonas, and Vanessa Carlton. "As a victory lap, Swims concluded his set with his biggest hit, 'Lose Control,' which inspired collective sway-alongs from the crowd, accompanied by onstage pyrotechnics as he departed on a custom bike. This performance was a testament to the lessons learned from past mid-day sets to create a truly memorable experience," Rolling Stone reported. Notably, he presented "Mr. Know It All" to live audiences for the first time at this festival.

The 2026 AMAs, hosted by Queen Latifah, took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Taylor Swift led the nominations with eight nods, including prestigious categories such as Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year. Following her, artists Sabrina Carpenter, Morgan Wallen, Olivia Dean, and Sombr received seven nominations each.
