A 36-year-old individual has been formally charged following an incident in Derby city centre where a vehicle collided with seven pedestrians on Saturday evening.
Sandhu Ponnachan, a resident of Alvaston, Derby, faces multiple charges, including six counts of grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent, one count of attempted GBH with intent, one count of dangerous driving, and one count of possession of a bladed article.
The pedestrians sustained serious injuries when they were struck by a black Suzuki Swift on Friar Gate around 21:30 GMT on Saturday night.
Ponnachan, who is reported to originally hail from India, is scheduled to appear before magistrates on Wednesday.
